Current Conditions
Current weather conditions are available realtime with WeatherFlash and for the region via METAR:- WeatherFlash
- A Macromedia Flash plugin to provide realtime weather conditions at our house.
- METAR
- A custom map with regional METAR weather conditions update every 15 minutes.
Lightning
Current lightning conditions are available through both StormVue and StrikeStar:- StormVue
- A java applet which provides realtime lightning detection within 375 miles of our house.
- StrikeStar
- A network of private lightning detectors used to triangluate lightning nationwide. This is an image reduced to ~190 miles of our house.
StormVue will show more lightning strikes than StrikeStar because at least two stations must agree upon on the lightning strike location for StrikeStar to consider it a valid lightning strike.
