Joshua to attend Cannon School

Yes it's true, after many ups, downs, and phone calls to Ann Blomquist (she'll probably miss the phone calls), Joshua has been accepted to Cannon School's Kindergarten class for the 2006-07 school year!  To say we're happy is an understatement.  He was also accepted to Davidson Day School which was our #2 choice.  This basically means we can remain friends with our next door neighbor who teaches at Cannon and who's kids attend.  And, let us not forget our Dentist who we're hoping is able have her child attend Jr-K.

We toured a few schools before making our selections and quite honestly Cannon offers the kids so many opportunities I really wish I could attend. That was my very statement the day we were given a personal guided tour of the school since we missed the open house.  It's been a roller-coaster year because we submitted Joshua's application for Jr-K too late and we weren't going to make the same mistake for Kindergarden.  We should have known better since Joshua was on a daycare wait list prior to his birth.  Cannon has been our school of choice even before the personal guided tour and I can assure you it didn't cloud our judgement.  I know Joshua is excited and he's actually changed since the day we found out, he insists on making his own breakfast and lunch.  Hopefully he'll enjoy attending Cannon....
